Hi, I have been suffering from severe social anxiety (bordering on isolation), GAD, OCD (mostly in form of perfectionism) and depression for about 10 years. I have tried tons of different prescription meds and a lot of various OTC drugs, herbs, nootropics, therapies.... but nothing has worked for me, at least to the point where I could be able to function normally in everyday life, and without tremendous and paralysing anxiety.

Currently I am on 37,5 mg of tianeptine but it doesnt seem to help with anxiety (maybe it is working a little for mood and depression but not for anxiety issues). I basically ended up at the same point where I started 10 years ago :(
So I wonder If I could benefit from NSI-189 or maybe from any other reaserch compunds (maybe 7,8 dihydroxyflavone ?), which I can from some over the internet ? At present I am mostly interested in these RC drugs since almost every possible psychiatric drug has failed in my case (I also tried Nardil for 3 times, but without any long term success).

I have also read here about a guy who also suffers from severe social anxiety  and he actually got a very good response to his following combo:
Tianeptine + NSI-189 + Piracetam Hydrazide + L-Theanine   ...here is a link to his stack :

I am very interested in trying this combination too, so I wonder, what are your thoughts on this ? Could I also benefit from taking tianeptine with NSI-189 + l-theanine mostly in terms of my social anxiety and GAD ? Or are there any other (better) combinations or substances for my issues which could be worth a try ?

NSI-189 gave me pretty severe anxiety, and this seems to be a common side effect. I have a history of anxiety, but it hasn't been a problem in many years. I had to temporarily stop taking NSI-189 just because of the anxiety. When I started up again, a week later, the side effects were reduced, but still problematic.

Tianeptine is definitely a good choice, as is L-Theanine. It's very unusual that you are not feeling less anxious on Tianeptine. Piracetam hydrazide is not very well-researched or commonly used. If you haven't tried a racetam before, I would just get some regular piracetam. There's a chance it will help with anxiety.

Selank is a powerful anxiolytic peptide that you probably haven't tried before. If you're in the US, you can get a nasal spray custom made for you by Ceretropic. All you have to do is send them an email. I'm currently using a SEMAX nasal spray that they made for me, and it's a pretty powerful and unique nootropic, but I think Selank is considered to be a better anxiolytic.

Did you see any benefits from NSI 189 ? I think that combining it with tianeptine could be awesome :)

I have tried selank (original product from Russia) in different doses and never got any noticible effect on my anxiety.

from racetam family, I have already tried piracetam (in range of 800 - 4,8g) and aniracetam (from 500- 2,5g) with and without choline, but they only made me dumb, and I often felt weird with brain fog and with no effect on anxiety. I also tried sulbutiamine, but I only got fast heart beating and felt irritated.

I have been taking tianeptine 37,5mg only for 3 weeks so mayble it is too early for any verdict but I really do not think it will work much for my anxiety issues. I have read about people who abuse tianeptine in very high doses like 300 pills per day... that way I can imagine that I would certainly got effect on anxiety.

What are your thoughts on Cl-994 or 7,8 dihydroxyflavone for anxiety ? Or what would you suggest to try to combine with tianeptine ? Thanks.

I have never tried NSI189 and I was very keen to try it with my current dose of tianeptine, but after I read Gorthaurs post (and some other posts where people also mentioned increased anxiety after starting NSI189 ), so I am quite hesitant and worried about more anxiety from NSI and I simply cant deal with more anxiety anymore

I saw remarkable benefits in memorization of new material with NSI-189. I took it in conjunction with Tianeptine, but they didn't seem to enhance each other's antidepressant activity.

I've got depression and gad. Sufferer for 10 years.
I've tried nsi189 and am still using it after an initial 2 week trial and now I've been taking it for last 6 weeks or so. Good points I've noticed...I'm not apathetic like ssri's make me.
My memory improved
I experience all emotions and they don't overwhelm me.
Subtle mood boost.
I manage work fine as my cognitive ability is better than my non medicated self.
Downsides? The anxiety. Now as I already suffer from anxiety issues, mines is like a constant state of anxiety of some level. Heart palpitations, sweaty hands, fear of authority etc etc. Nsi makes it worse but at the same time the anxiety doesn't stop me doing things as much as it normally would. So it is good and bad for anxiety. If you can find something to take the edge off then nsi is well worth trying.

I've tried tianeptine and found the three times a day dosing quite annoying. I felt like an addict! It didn't do much to boost my mood but I felt the anxiolytic effect. It's useful every now and again for anxiety bouts I think.

I've had piracetam hydrazide too and it provides a good stimulatory boost and heightens all your senses. It has its uses. But it's no answer for me as I find all the racetams depress me too much despite partially quelling my anxiety.

I sometimes take low doses of kratom couple of times a week when I need relief from anxiety but always be careful not too become dependent. It's good for socializing though. In fact it's great!

Buspirone helps with anxiety a good bit and I'm thinking of combining it with melatonin for more neurogenesis.

Pregabilin at 225mg is helpful every now and again for anxiety.

I just started a trial of modafinil today, 50mg to test it the. 50mg after noticing how positive a reaction I was having to it. Very alert, awake, motivated, talkative and almost alpha male esque! I highly recommend you try this.

Apart from that the usual sedative antidepressants help like trazadone and mirtazapine but I don't want to live mylife sedated! I hope to try semax next when ceretropic have it back in stock.

Good luck, I hope you take something from this, hope if nothing else!
