I will start here a summary of the legal status of cryonics in different countries. Please, feel free to add information about your country.

Spain

In Spain it's not possible to be legally cryopreserved. Medical staff can act quickly to cryopreserve organs for transplantation, but not the whole body and not for any other purpose than transplantation. If you consider a cryopreserved patient as a donation to a medical research institution, there is a lot of bureaucracy that prevents cryopreservation staff to act quickly. If you consider a cryonics institute as a cemetery or an autopsy center, it has similar problems, you have to wait a lot. It's explained here: http://crionica.org/...howpage&pid=140

USA

It differs for each state. There is a summary at Alcor website: http://www.alcor.org...egalstatus.html (feel free to summarize it here).
