Hi everyone,

I know this sort of thing has been on here before but would be good to get a fresh perspective.

I was wondering what everyone would rate as the key "interventions" (not necessarily a supplement) the battle against the aging process?

I would say for me it is:

- Sunlight protection - no lower than SPF 15
- no smoking
- a healthy diet
- caloric restriction
- boots no 7 cream
- L-Carnosine
- maintaining relaxation throughout the day and cultivating healthy emotions (kindness etc), (limiting stress)

I am interested in metformin as a possible key intervention. I have reason to suspect they it may activate the body's own stem cells in some areas of the body and I saw a few posts that might back that up. I see people seem to think it is a "heavy hitter" before.

Exercise should be high on the list.  Weight training and HIIT would be good additions.  Optimal nutrition is another thing; you need to have no shortages of essential micronutrients.  For example, if you avoid sunlight, you will most likely need to supplement vitamin D.  One could argue that "a healthy diet" would incorporate all micronutrients that you need, but in practice it's hard to do that without at least a little supplementation.  I would also incorporate a mitochondrial antioxidant like c60-olive oil or MitoQ.

Thanks for this Niner. I am sure I must be missing some nutrients, started eating better recently.
