I came across this somewhat interesting paper, which delivered multifunctional liposomes in an attempt to rescue APP/presenilin mice from ALZ. The authors found 70% oligmer clearance and 33% plaque/insoluble beta removal. The authors also seem to have filed a patent here.
The original paper cites two references (one located here) that discuss the preparation process for these liposomes. The preparation process seems to be detailed in the patent.
Out of curiosity, I was wondering if anyone know how much it costs to have something like this custom liposome synthesized? If anyone has a ballpark thought, I'd be curious. An adult would need probably around 3.5 grams (10 applications every other day, 350 mg per application based on HED conversion).
