It's pretty well established that Choline and related drugs (Huperzine A, Citicoline) have devastating effects for people prone to depressive disorder.

This seems to be due to a positive link between the chemical Acetylcholine and Cortisol.

What really is confusing me is that there are several plants that have also been cited as increasing Acetylcholine, including: Ashwagandha, Lemon Balm, Ginkgo and Holy Basil, but they have actually been found to REDUCE cortisol levels.

So I wonder, for those who have experience, do these herbs tend to worsen depression or help with it?

Are you sure about the acetylcholine/cortisol connection? I'm only asking because I've never heard of a connection before. But it does sound interesting.

subbed. I have bad depression and brain fog and it seems like my brain fog has gotten worse since I started Alpha GPC. Sometimes it feels like it does something to my mood as well.
Right now I'm on my first time dose of prami and I don't feel depressed, but I feel absence of emotions.
