*Should have been "Nootropic Log" in the title.

Finally recieved my first ever shipment of noots; a whole assortment of them. It's a little exciting and I'm going to be testing on myself in the coming weeks for the best dosage and combination and logging my experiences here. Before I do let me give a shoutout to "Powder City": the only noot supplyer I've dealt with so I can't compare really but reception was prompt, prices were good and it got here fast so I'll be dealing with them in the future up to when they decide to fill my next noopept bag with black widows or something.

The first thing I did after opening the packets was to give each one a good sniff as per habit. I really like to get familiar with smells of pretty much anything I'm about to put in my mouth especially if it's new and exotic.

Noopept is described as smelling like mushrooms and gymsocks. I can certainly see why but I liken it more to a cross between salami (that's REAL salami and not that red colored crap you get on pizza) and mature cheese.

cdp Choline's smell is somewhat mild but strangely reminded me of fast food; particularly oily chips straight from the deepfryer.

Pramiracetam has almost no smell. The only scent I picked up was a very mild baking soda.

Phenylpiracetam is closer to baking soda than Pram in terms of smell but still not as sharp.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine takes the cake. Smells like more pungent baking soda.

Alpha Lipoic Acid is the only powder that isn't white. "Grassy" and "Fizzy" is the only way I can describe the smell. Shares some similarities with sodium bicarbonate too.

Day #1 - Noopept & cdp choline

I took 10mg of Noopept sublingually at noon which taster like more bitter Panadol then 20mg of Noopept and 200mg of cdp choline, which was far too diluted in water to taste, at 5pm, experiencing similar effects in both cases. Much like when I tried cannabis for the first time way back my anticipation to taking a "mind altering" substance was met with anxiety, which I do suffer from, however within 30 minutes of administration the anxiety subsided completely to my surprise and I may perhaps had experienced a euphoric effect but it wasn't anything remarkable. In general I felt more "awake", at peace and every sensation 'seemed' to be slightly enhanced but again the effect wasn't potent as some best-case-scenario experiences around on the net so it could have been a placebo. I went out on the veranda overlooking the entire western half of the island and here I could perhaps demonstate to myself the effectiveness of Noopept. Whereas before my perception was limited by chronic brain fog and tunnelvision my brain was able to take in the entire panorama without that feeling of pressure, processing all the peripheral motion of palm leaves shaking in the wind and car lights in the distance with relative ease. It was as if my FOV and resolution were turned up slightly. Lastly I tried reading a page off a book and noticed as I read out loud how articulate I sounded, and was able to understand and contemplate the out-of context information I was recieving from it moreso that usual. These effects lasted around 2 hours at which point the switch back to my normal cognitive function was instantanious. Quite a bummer really.

There were absolutely no negative effects experienced from this first administration and given the mildness of the effects I'd like to try a higher dose (40mg) but before doing so I want to give every substance a try in a mild dose to see how my body reacts to it. Will be taking Noopept longterm since many describe benefits after months of use. Next up, Phenylpiracetam.

Day #2

Took 100mg of phenylpiracetam & 250mg of CDP Choline this morning around 10am (3pm as of writing this) aaaand nothing I could determine not to be placebo was felt whatsoever. Within an hour I felt a very mild boost of overall focus that was inditerminable from the peaks of my normal fluctuations and thus was either placebo or too mild to be considered effective. I'll try a higher dose later. No negative effects were noted.
