Has anyone else had the experience of phenylpiracetam making them sleepy? The first time I tried it with the intention of getting some Economics review done and an hour later I was in bed, feeling really tired and wanting to go to sleep. I pushed passed it though and chalked it up to having other contributing variables.

Second time I tried 100mg of phenlypiracetam again a few days later, 12 hours after ingesting no other nootropics, vitamins or substances and noticed the same effect an hour after ingestion, I'm in bed feeling pretty tired and generally still fatigued with no change in body temperature (cold).

If I got around to doing anything technical on phenylpiracetam, perhaps I'd have better results as I recognize that It may help with more left brain tasks as my usual tendency of words spilling out of my brain and wanting to be expressed seemed to vanish, but I don't notice any stimulating effects on motivation, drive, energy or increased physical stimulation.

Somewhere I read that phenyl increases the amount of D2 receptors. This coupled with the fact that my dopamine receptors may be burned out from years of Vyvanse and Phentermine maybe contribute to this, but I don't see any anecdotal reports of Phenylpiracetam being anything but stimulating so I can't understand the paradoxical effects. Am I dosing incorrectly? Any ideas?

For what it's worth, Noopept, Oxiracetam, and pramiracetam especially do this to me. I think it's because I dosed too high though (I'm not high or mega dosing this stuff either, I just happen to be a strong responder). 12 mg of noopept makes me sleepy when it wears off. 500 mg of oxiracetam makes me sleepy, and 400 mg of primaracetam makes me sleepy (though i do experience nootropic effects as well at these dosages, some quite profound) I'm seriously downdosing the prami, to about 100 mg, im cutting he noopept down to 5 for a few days to see how that helps, and im shooting for like 350 on the oxi. It seems to me that sleepiness and possibly irritation are the effects you experience when you take "too much". What is too much for you may be nowhere near enough for another person. Sensitivity seems to vary quite a bit between individuals with this stuff.

Try a much lower dose, if 100 mg is making you sleepy, wait a few days to "wash out"....then try a 50mg dose.

The funny thing is that after taking 100mg of phenylpiracetam I get sleeping to the point when i'm studying i fall asleep. I HATE that feeling . I think i'm going to lower the dosage to 90mg and see how that goes. Maybe just playing around the dosage will fix it self. Currently i'm also taking Wellbutrin 150mg for my ADHD. I don't take them at the same time but spread it out when taking phey.

I have original russian phenotropil and 100mg dosage caused some jittery stimulation with bad comedown same with lower dosages - after few hours i was really sleepy.

200mg worked perfecty(2 100mg tablets) - mood imrpovement, energy etc but comedown was pretty bad anyway and i gained kind of permanent tolerance to it like many others so its not working for me properly anymore.

I tried reducing the dosage to 75mg I still get sleep after 15 mins of taking it. I think i'm going to try 50mg tomorrow and see what happens. Am i doing it the right way by lower the dosage or should I go up on the dosage so I won't fall asleep?

As i wrote - 200mg worked great for me, smaller dosages had paradoxical effects in my case. I suggest trying out 200mg dosage. Any dose up to like 500-750mg should be safe.

Today I didn't any because I forgot it at home... lol. I will try 200mg tomorrow and see how that goes. Now should I be worried about Wellbutrin since I take that in the afternoon ?
