I've seen some research and heard from a few different sources that taking 5-htp supplements depletes dopamine and that l-tyrosine or phenylalanine should be supplemented while supplementing 5-htp to make up for this depletion.

I currently take Adderall for ADHD.  Does anybody have any opinion/advice as to whether or not I should also supplement l-tyrosine since I am taking 5-htp supplements?  Thanks in advance!!!

Here is a nice diagram that shows the interaction between serotonin and dopamine precursors.
