Since it seems would be nice to try to quantify the effects of C60-00 on performance and oxygen utilization to try and find a possible MAO for it, I will log my results and describe my protocol to test out the effect, if any on c60 on human performance.

If you want to contribute and post your own results, feel free to do it.

I think the results will be more significant if we quantify them by increase of performance so I will not list my absolute number. I hate it when people do that because it discourages casual runner.

Since we are dealing in qualitative research, I think it would be important to describe yourself a little bit.

Male

34 years old

5,8"

178 pounds at about 8% bodyfat

Trained for years in different sports, always weightlifting. Soccer is where I shine.

Not taking any supplement right now except 5 mg noopept everyday.

Protocol:

Since I run on the treadmill 3 times a week (can't do it outside it's just too cold up here and I don't like it) I will try three different protocoles that I've been using for a couple of months.

No C60

Workout 1: terrible ten challenge (10 x 30 seconds sprints at 10% incline as fast as I can maintain)

Baseline (as of june last year, before C60 or anything else)

X mph (I will log results as increase for X as to not discourage anyone trying to do the same :-)

Max heart rate: 200

 Workout 2: 400 meters repeat x 15

Speed:

X mph

Heart rate: from 195 to 150 in one minute

Workout 3: 5k

x min

______________________________________________________________________________________________

As of november 24 2014

C60 dosage: 1.5 mg two times a week

Workout 1:

+ 11,76% of my baseline

Max heart rate: no change

Workout 2:

+ 4% of my baseline

Heart rate: from 195 to 140 in 1 minute on most intervals

Workout 3:

No improvement. Didn't feel very good....

As of december 2

Played soccer on sunday: was a beast, felt very good and scored a goal (I played defense, it shouldn't have happened :-)

Workout 1 (terrible ten):

+12% of my baseline (a little bit better than last time) Did not feel winded but my muscles were hurting.

Continued as I can't edit my previous post for some obscure reason.

December 2:

Workout 2: +6% over baseline

Workout 3: everything ached and didn't feel good at all. I've been upping my volume in my usual weigh training session and it is not going very well. I'm getting stronger but can't recover that well. I did complete the 5 k and shaved a minute of my time but I felt like crap.

As of december 9:

NO C60

Workout 1: Same as last week. No improvement but recovered faster after the workout was done.

Workout 2: 8% over baseline (that is pretty amazing in my case, I've topped in those 400 meters repeat years ago)

Workout 3: couldn't do it. My little son got sick (the flu) and I had to take care of him. I love him so much. I didn't get sick though but I never do... Too bad he doesn't have a good immune system.

As of december 15th:

Played soccer on sunday again and was the best I've been in a longggggggg while.

My son got better so I completed a 5k: no improvement over baseline. Everything was hurting pretty bad. Might be overtraining... Hopefully, next week is morning Heineken and Eggnug so rest won't be a problem.

I'm about to conclude my experiment for the following reasons:

I seem to have plateaued: C60 did provide a significant improvement in my performances especially in anaerobic threshold activities: the terrible 10 workout and the 400 meters repeat got better and I felt I was recovering much faster in between sets. However, my 5k times were about the same and it didn't feel good at all. I was trying to push too hard I guess.

In any case, we can't say much with that little case study. I was hoping other would join and I tried to find other people willing to ingest nanotech to no avail, which I understand.

I'm not a biochemist but there is one thing I've noticed: in between bouts of high output activities, I recovered much faster. It seems like the C60 was absorbing the stuff that makes muscles aches after a while (I know it is not lactic acid but something similar).

Also, C60 has amazing anti-inflammatory propreties but those too have plateaued after about a month.

Will I continue to take it: yes! For sure! Would I give it to my parents/SO if they understood my obsession with peak performance: yes! Was my little experiment conclusive: yes! Am I about to get the aluminium pole and ask pennance for my past grievances while slurping Jack Daniels at 9 in the morning: you bet!

Happy Festivus!

Maybe your 5K run performance was unchanged because c60oo gets temporarily exhausted after a certain amount of oxidative stress. In the case of such a long period of exercise, it has no time to dispose of the neutralized radicals and recharge. Soccer is much more bursty, so the improvement there makes sense. Anyway, thanks for the data.
