Any site I go to looks like their idea of protein consumption is right, I get the feeling nobody has the right answer. You have the guys at bodybuilding type sites, you know the one, where most people say more protein/it's ok to have a lot, then you have the medical guys who are on the other end of the spectrum, then there is everybody else with their broscience. Aggghhhhhhhhhhhhh

OK, enough venting.

On US-centric sites the needed amount of protein for muscle building is avg of 1g/lb bw. However on the sites based in metric measuring countries(everybody else) is 1g/kg bw. So my bw is 80kg, using the g/lb I would need to have ~176g of protein, on the g/kg 80g.

I'm a vegan so I already feel like not getting enough protein, but if the g/lb is used I am almost definitly not getting enough.

What is the right one?????????

Have been for the last few months supplmenting with protein shakes, tried whey, vegan mix, pea isolates, and anything from 1-3 servings a day. Don't notice any results, I work out 3-5 times a week depending on if its free-weighs or bodyweights.

BTW I did notice the pushing ideas of supplments companies wanting to push the products, especially on sites which say yes to more protein, there is normal a advert for protein supplement somewhere there.
