hi,

for the past couple of years I started to have an intrest of health and all that type of stuff. but like, I reached the point what's the point? and why am I being so selfish even. and I'm not saying for one moment anyone on longecity is like that. this is just me.

after coming across [some guy's youtube channel]  It really made me look into myself. as in, its not that I need more, its that I need less. and its not being against longecity or anything like that, its great and its helpful if you want to help others in your live truly.

but like, after seeing that guy's channel. I really now know I need to seriously look into myself more and solve me.

any idea please?

Edit:  This looks like it might be an attempt to virally market a youtube channel, so the link was removed in keeping with Longecity policy.   Bird3, could you be more specific about what you're looking for?  We might be able to help you out.  -Moderator

I have no idea what you are asking. I am not going to watch any of the videos you linked. I will let the Mods judge the veracity of the link.

Dear Mod,

May I just say if you think I was trying to advertise that guy, then I can fully assure you I am not. Like how the hell/why would I even?...

the guy in my opinion from my view has problems. or that like, well he's very narcissistic?  and after seeing his narcissistic behavior advertising/trying to sell his bullcrap products vitamin c,d,etc, etc blah blah.... it made me realise that most of the health stuff, over loads of it , its just all a load of bull crap. of course I already knew it was... but I even use to research stuff online relating to health. and now its like, man what's the point. its selfish and pointless.

If I understood you right, you said that life extension and health matters are principally driven my egoistic motives. If so, then I tend to agree. There's no reason to admire (from an ethical point of view) someone just because he/she is interested in health, eats and lives healthy. That person is just being rational and behaving like he/she should be if the person is interested in her/his own good. Health and optimical performance are essential for maximizing your own good.  In this sense, being ignorant with respect to one's health is just plain stupid, short sighted and lazy.

So there's no particular ethical reason to admire people's aspirations for better health / life extension. From ethical point of view the question is all about what you are going do with that extra health and/or life extension. How do you live your life? From the life extension AND ethical point of view I find it frustrating how ignorant people are about massive amount of wasting resources and needless human suffering that is a direct consequence of corruption in medical/pharmaceutical field. They seem to think that still, somehow, pharmaceutical industry is their friend/ally in a quest for better better health/life extension. I think there is no rational justification for this belief, but as always, this is "business as usual" since people tend to think not what they think is likely true, but, what is in accordance with their own interests/wishes.
