Looking back I've noticed that on the nights where I have had a high quality sleep the next day I felt energetic, optimistic and overall productive, even not taking any supplements. I would have much less anxiety and depression symptoms.

Quality sleep is much better as a general tonic then most supplments in my experience.

Anyone else notice this as well?

I would say this is the base of it all.

But look at everything that contributes to this base.

You eat right, you sleep right.

You get the right amount of activity, you sleep right.

You feed your brain right, you sleep right.

That's all there is to it.

I did 2 hours of MMA training last night, and I slept like a baby after.

Days that I don't do as much, I don't sleep as much.

I would agree yes that quality sleep especially deep sleep is so crucial, even health and nutrition experts always talk about one of the number one things is quality and sufficent amount of sleep.

Thefountain makes a great point though, they all kind of go together.. Usually when you're eating right, you're living a healthy lifestyle, quality sleep will often follow.
