Hi, for few days (5) I take 2,4g of piracetam a day. I know normally should by taken in first days an attack of 4g or more. My question is if it's possibly to take that attack dose after these days or maybe the besti is continue with my normal dosis.

I did'n take the attack dose before because I want to be sure it doesn't interact with an antidepressant I'm taking regularly.

Thanks to all. Please answer me :) and forgive me for my horrible english.

there is really no need for an "attack dose" - whatever that means.
it has been *decided* that an optimal dose is 4.8g, taken every four hours or so. So even five grams would not be considered an attack dose or megadose.

I think it is smart to start with a smaller dose like you have to avoid possible interactions, but piracetam is remarkably safe. I doubt you have anything to worry about. Try to make sure you get regular exercise (daily cardio, tri-weekly strength training, etc) with your nootropics to optimize their effects, and for an optimal anti-depressant effect.

Hi, thanks for the answer. I have this doubt because I have the information that is in the box of the pills (it's from the pharmacy) and says that: first an attack dose of 4,8g and after that 2,4 a day for mental enhancement. I thought is because piracetam is cumulative.

And also read a lot of that dose attack here in longecity and other forums. Maybe I'll try to take 4,8g a day and that's all, for the experiencies I read I think it's a good habitual dose.

For the case that You cant say nobody has told You that ( actually nobody seems to care either.....)

Piracetam can be actually toxic via demyelination and pro-oxidant properties

I dont want to cause panic or anything else, its just what I know.
