Fluoride could be causing depression and weight gain and councils should stop adding it to drinking water to prevent tooth decay, scientists have warned.

A study of 98 per cent of GP practices in England found that high rates of underactive thyroid were 30 per cent more likely in areas of the greatest fluoridation.

It could mean that up to 15,000 people are suffering needlessly from thyroid problems which can cause depression, weight gain, fatigue and aching muscles.

...

But new research from the University of Kent suggests that there is a spike in the number of cases of underactive thyroid in high fluoride areas such as the West Midlands and the North East of England.

I can't help but feel as though our government is intentionally poisoning us. Now, I wonder why they would want that?

Possibly so that they have an easier job getting rid of us when AI is created and they don't want many humans around any more because basic income would be too expensive? If humans are sick and stupid it would be a much easier job to get rid of us. Although I think the future will be an incredibly exciting time and I'm really sorry I won't be there to see and participate in it. it I do wonder what is going to happen to the species.

As always, dose is the poison. I recommend my patients fluoride rinse and toothpaste that can be spat out after use.

I always felt uneasy about adding the gunk to drinking water.

In the end someone is going to figure out a way to remove the cavity-causing bacteria and we can get rid of fluoride.

I used to have a cavity nearly every time I went to a dentist, until I started eating sorbitol and more recently xylitol based candy.  I haven't had another cavity in a very long time.

Unfortunately, the constant abrasion from crunching hard candy, plus bruxism, plus having a very large amount of mercury amalgam fillings, over the course of 20-30 years, led to my having a nearly disabling case of mercury poisoning.
