Purchasing supplements can quickly break the budget and I'm always shocked to see the huge price discrepancies with even simple mineral supplements.

Are there certain brands that are known to have sketchy quality-potency-purity?

Do you get what you pay for? Or are there certain minerals and or amino acids that you should shop for simply according to lowest cost?

For example, I want to purchase Magnesium Taurate, but the only brand I could source on amazon.ca is from Cardiovascular Research which I assume is a respected brand, but for 180 125 mg capsules you pay  $39.
