I have been keeping an eye on my Thankyou points (T) for  awhile now as I very much want to use them to become a member here.

Despite many Likes and posting replies to introductory points, the number has remained static at 336 for a long time now??

 

IIRC the figure has been 336 for ages?

Also I seem to remember the figure being higher (in the 500s) but that it seemed to drop around the time that the new rating system was 1st implemented?

My memory isn't my best feature and I paid scant attention to it at the time, but would be most grateful if someone could look into this for me plz.

 

 

PS:  Everything I type in my profile seems to appear below my name and I have had to edit that to get my  Avatar/nic etc. to be shorter than some of my posts!??

I noticed, that posting in some topics rises your points with one for post. Maybe this is some kind of stimulation for making posts in selected topics. One of the topics, that give a thank you point for a relevant post is one of mine lol. The topic for stem cells technologies, used on people.

AFAIK, yes, you should be getting 1 TY point per post, though it doesn't always update right away. I'll invite an engineer to the topic to confirm.

The system works ok. Just the fraction of the point you get for negative/positive votes or posting in certain sections varies. You can check your current rating up to the decimal under "Thank You" in your profile. However, don't assume that point values etc will remain fixed, they are changed  occasionally to reflect a different policy and to prevent 'gaming'.

I'm afraid you are incorrect however.
The number has been at 336 for at least a month now and probably much longer.
I also recall the number going down from somewhere in the 500s around the time the voting system 1st changed to give more options.

Its great that you are so committed but posting in the intro section will be a long slog. You currently get ₮0.02 per reply.

If you want to grab those elusive ₮164 for free membership, a much quicker way would be to volunteer for a community project.

I have just "bought membership" here for 500 ₮ points. The message said: "Membership for a year. IMPORTANT: after you have 'bought' this item you need to select it in your portfolio and "USE" the item to activate." But where is "my portfolio"?

Is it where it says "assets are disabled"?

ok, finally I noticed a pale blue on dark blue background 'Portfolio' and kept on clicking where it clicked and voila! The thing worked, as I see now, but I got these messages when it went through:
