Hi everybody, this is my first topic here. I'm a 21 years old engineering student. My goal is to supplement nootropics in my diet in order to get all the achievable benefits I can get from them, but with particular interest in focus, attention and concentration in the first phase.
It's been week since I'm reading all I can on best stacks for beginners and I ended up with deciding to build a stack made of 5 or 6 elements based on Piracetam and a Choline supplement to start. I then realized that by doing it I wouldn't really understand the benefits of every single element of the stack, which is exactly what I want to experience in order to get the knowledge necessary to become, as the time goes by, independent to build my stacks based on the effect I know each nootropic gives me.
What I'm really looking for is a gradual schedule that allows me to feel the difference every time I add a new supplement on my stack. Could anyone please help me with that? Thanks to all in advance for this and for the amazing job you're doing here.
PS: it would also be nice if you could suggest me a way to monitor my progress every time I add a new substance.

Welcome!

You already mentioned piracetam and choline, so start there. Try that out for a few weeks and then add in something new, say L-Tyrosine so you can get acquainted with dopaminergics, or caffeine + L-theanine. Keep adding and subtracting new noots as you see fit. Try some rhodiola as an example of an energizing adaptogen, and the next week try ashwagandha as a relaxing/anti-stress adaptogen for example. But don't forget the importance of proper diet, exercise, sleep and stress reduction - this will improve your cognition more than any nootropic will, and will amplify their effects.

The gold standard on these forums for measuring improvement in cognition via supplements is either dual-n-back or Cambridge brain sciences, but also remember that you will naturally improve on these games as time goes by and especially in the first few weeks of playing, so it's better to play them for a while and then "hit the wall" so to speak, and see how you then perform with added nootropics.

Ok, I'm on my way.

What do you think about trying Piracetam on its own and then adding Choline after, say, a week? Useless? Or maybe the contrary.

Thanks a lot anyway.

I rarely use a choline source with 'racetams, wouldn't hurt trying it with and without. You can mix up choline sources as well - choline bitartrate, Alpha-GPC, CDP-choline. Play around and see what works best for you.

Ok.

One last thing: would you suggest me a valid website to buy them? And maybe also telling me your opinion about dosages?

Thanks again.
