I don't know if this is your issue, but it sounds similar to low blood sugar. What's your diet like?

If it is low blood sugar. then training your body not over react to carbohydrates and dumping too much insulin into your system will help. Basically, eat a high protein low carb diet. No simple sugars, only complex carbohydrates. Good quality fats/oils with carbs can help slow the sugars from getting into your system.

I'd definitely give a hypoglycemic diet a try. I had low blood sugar issues when I was in college, and it helped.

Your diziness seems like a general symptom of your particular anxiety. Anxiety can manifest in many ways for many people, and the symptoms themselves sometimes aren't (this isn't to say all the time) particularly important.

So don't treat the dizziness, I would just treat the anxiety. Try a supplement called Ashwagandha for when the anxiety it's particularly bad. I like Jarrow's version, the "Sensoril" brand. See how much it helps.

Just FYI - Jarrow now uses the KSM-66 extract (they reformulated earlier this year).

Thanks for the heads up. How does it compare? Any data on this?

Cut out the chocolate for a couple weeks, see if that reduces anxiety some... Speaking from experience, caffeine and theobromine seems to aggravate anxiety and can make me spacey, anxious and irritiable.

Also, with that type of response... I'd find myself a new doctor.

The amounts of either of those in chocolate is quite low. Some people have extreme sensitivity to caffeine, but unless you do, I doubt chocolate would cause anxiety if someone isn't particularly sensitive to the ingredients. Are you on Selegiline by chance?
