I was thinking this may help my father-in-law, however I have only found one article re: this, and its in Russian.

http://www.ncbi.nlm..../pubmed/3414249

- Can anyone gain access to this article via university or work? My hospital takes forever to retrieve articles ;-)

- Has anyone with trigeminal neuralgia ever tried this?

- Any thoughts on potential efficacy?

Thanks guys,

I don't know about phenibut for trigeminal neuralgia.  When you take it on a regular basis, you build up a tolerance to it pretty quick.

I've used phenibut for insomnia & limit my useage to once or twice a week.  Side effects I've experienced are borderline nausea & slight

hangovers the next day.  Never experienced any withdrawal symptoms because of my infrequent use.

If you go ahead w it, I'd scan the net for users' experiences w it.

Trigeminal neuralgia can be very painful.  My sympathies to your father-in-law.

Thanks for the reply.

I use phenibut 2-3 times a week, this for years.

Similar pharmaceuticals (gabapentin) are used in treating TN, and I was wondering if anyone had personally tried this, or had insight on its potential efficacy.
