During the recent days I've experienced various weird sensations in my brain after taking supplements, especially during self-hypnosis/meditation after taking said supplements. It's not unpleasant exactly, but not like a euphoric feeling, and also very different from the head-chills that you get on your scalp. More like a physical sensation, but I'm not sure it's even possible to have physical sensations in your brain? Usually it's sort of like a tingle, but twice I've felt an almost audible click or snap (it was not painful at all). Ok, this is starting to sound pretty odd, but I'm not sure how else to explain it. Is this some kind of bodily illusion (hallucination), something else I should be more worried about, or maybe something positive? Has anyone else experienced this? I have not noticed any other negative effects.

The new supplements I've taken prior to these sensations are:

- Bacopa

- NAC

- Insositol

- Glycine

- Niacin

- Methylfolate

Good to know I'm not the only one. Do you have any idea as to what it means? I like to think it's the brain repairing itself or something, but it still worried me a bit.

Nobody else experienced this?

After couple years since I noticed it right after starting Bacopa, my conclusion is that it is a mild self-induced seizure/excitement in the nucleus accumbens similar/related to ASMR. The primary result is the increase of dopamine and norepinephrine in the prefrontal lobes which I find to have beneficial, nootropic effects, chiefly for creative work and motivation. Note that I labeled it "self-induced" since it can be controlled by focusing on the sensation and deliberately modulating it (meditation-like).

I often experience this after taking certain nootropics or while meditating. Ashwagandha tends to do it a lot to me.
