This stack works for me for anxiety. Might be overkill, but it does the trick:

1. Rhodiola / Arctic root
2. Schisandra
3. Eleuthero
4. 5 htp
5. L dopa
6. He shou wu

Also get some tyrosine in during the day.

Sure, no problem. I am linking to Iherb, not because I am a salesman for Iherb, but because i generally use them for these kinds of supplements. The doses below are "heavy", given that I am larger (6'4") and lift a lot of weights, so I have a lot more mass than the average person. You may want to consider halving all the doses below.

1. Rhodiola / Arctic root

Normally the Swedish Herbal Institute's Arctic Root - 500mg - 2 to 3 capsules in the morning, and then again in the afternoon. I am having trouble finding stock anywhere of this product - it might have been discontinued. Alternatives to this could include New Chapter's Rhodiola Force: http://www.iherb.com...24&sr=null&ic=1. or the Now and Jarrow brands. If any members have some experiences with different brands that they would like to share, I am all ears.

2. Schisandra

Take at same as Rhodiola, twice daily - 250mg 1 x cap. hhttp://ttp://www.ihe...=1&sr=null&ic=1

3. Eleuthero

Take at same time as Rhodiola, twice daily - 500mg 1 x cap - http://www.iherb.com...05&sr=null&ic=1

4. 5-htp

Take at same time as Rhodiola, twice x daily - 2 x 100mg caps - http://www.iherb.com...21&sr=null&ic=2

5. L dopa

Take at same time as Rhodiola in the morning, but I skip afternoon. 4 x caps - http://www.iherb.com...62&sr=null&ic=1

6. He shou wu

Take at same time as Rhodiola, twice daily. 2 x caps - http://www.iherb.com...45&sr=null&ic=1

7. N-Acetyl Tyrosine

Take in the afternoon, at the same time as Rhodiola, but don't take at same time as the L-Dopa - http://www.iherb.com...31&sr=null&ic=1

As an update, Swedish Herbal Institute emailed me and informed me they are producing "3rd generation adaptogens" and have discontinued their arctic root and adapt232 products.

It would be interesting to know what they are cooking up.

Excellent company, that one.

My experience with Rhodiala is that it augments anxiety, not reduces it.

Um, did no one really bother to ask what OP was initially taking? Am I missing something?

I think the point was that pretty much every supplement the OP tried didn't help.

When it comes to anything more than mild anxiety, supplements are quite limited in what they can do (or, at least the ones we have discovered), unfortunately.
