Hey Guys,

Just need some help and recommendation’s, been looking at a few of the post over the last couple of days, you guys have a close nit and knowledgeable community here -  good to see.

A bit of background, I have been suffering from chronic headaches and for the last 10 years (Approx) I am talking mid-level to killer headaches that leave me in sheer agony throwing up etc at least 2-3 times a week, if it’s not a killer headache in the morning I wake up feeling groggy and sometimes with a migraine in the morning(even after a long sleep) and on top of this in a somewhat down – I wouldn’t go as far as depression.

I recently had enough of the headaches as it was getting in the middle of my work and social life, so went to the doctor to get his recommendation, I explained my situation and that I had tried meditation accupature etc to try and relive my headaches with no luck. the doctor then recommended me some Amitriptyline Hydrochloride before this point in time I never really wanted to try to take any sort of chemicals to heal the situation with the exception of 5-htp(which is not really a chemical)

The doctor advised to take 10 mgs of Amitriptyline Hydrochloride before I sleep, Witch I did and boy was it an experience, the next day I woke up feeling amazing to say the least. I was smiling had an awesome night’s sleep, at work chattering away. I felt like I was 18 again always smiling. I really wanted to find out what was in this stuff and then I referred to my friend google and found this was an anti-depressant. after doing some research on anti-depressants and the way they work I was a bit sceptical to take this again(to say the least) especially the links to Suicide.

I have done some research regarding Serotonin deficiency and the links Headaches and mood. So I am wondering is there any other way I can treat serotonin deficiency in a correct manner? Meaning helping my body produce it?  and any recommendations or nutropics stacks that I can try.

Also, What do you guys think of Amitriptyline Hydrochloride? Should I steer clear ?

PS: Sorry for the rant.
