Hi all,

Just curious, does anyone know of any supplements to enhance epinephrine function?

I know tyrosine does, but it also increases dopamine, which usually gives me a headache.

That headache from the tyrosine is actually caused by the tyramine, not dopamine.  Some of the tyrosine we ingest becomes tyramine.

As for epinephrine boost... I wouldn't know aside from caffeine or some other stim like that.  Maybe mucuna, since the dopamine support you get from it comes from l-dopa instead of tyrosine, basically a small shortcut in the process of synthing dopamine -> norepinephrine -> epinephrine, so it can bypass the tyramine issue altogether.

And I need to correct myself ... the tyramine might not be the sole cause of the headache ... norepinephrine and epinephrine can cause headaches too.

In non-migraineurs these headaches would usually initially present as tension-type, vasoconstrictive.

or ephedra (chinese name/pinyin: ma huang) but I would rather avoid it. too many side effects and possible complications.

I second Duchykins advice
