First time using this site. Looking for some insight on my situation, and hopefully someone can advise me on some supplements. However, I do understand how unique my situation is. If you care to read, I provided an outline of the weekend that caused my "ailment". I'll provide my symptoms before the story for those who think they have something that can help with that, and would rather not read through the BS. Simple background for both situations: I'm 23 yo, just had a doctors checkup a month ago and everything was normal or extremely good....

Whatever the case, my symptoms:
1) persistent headache, ~3/10 that begins as soon as my feet hit the floor in the morning until I go to sleep. It's about right where my neck meets my skull and towards the center of my head.

2) (read: all of my mental ailments since) worse ability to organize a plan and see it through without forgetting what I was doing or missing a step (worse short term memory?), SUBSTANTIALLY decreased mental energy (get 8-9 hrs sleep since, could take a nap after reading news articles in the AM), decreased attention span, and what seems to be best described as a decrease in gray matter. My ability to learn from discussion with someone, with respect to previous levels, is much worse. Organizing things in my brain is more difficult, literally can feel my brain struggling to put things together/remember now. Learning something simple and new now seems to drain my brain EXTREMELY quick. Ex: after discussing the accounting cycle with my higher up, it felt like I had been studying for 10 hrs or I had been at the library all night. Just a 10 minute conversation, at 9am.... scary. All day everyday since the "incident" I've been battling serious mental fatigue, like I've studied alll day leading up to that point. I've ate extremely well since (salmon, tuna, spinach/kale salads, nuts, great diet in general since) and have exercised like normal (run about 3 mi every other day, strength train 3 days a week). This has killed any hangover I've ever had and brought me back to baseline regardless of what I "used" prior. I'm a binge drinker in college, have used MDMA ~3-4 times a hear and occasionally used coke.... nothing that I've never rebounded from. Again, this situation is very scary for me, and if you have a "stack" that has benefitted you over the long term as it pertains to what feels like "neurogenesis" then I would like to hear about it. Thanks. For those of you who would like to read about what "happened", read on.

Went to a music festival two weekends ago (aug 16-18). I'll outline what I used. Keep in mind, I'm going into my senior year of college, have quite a high alcohol tolerance, and have used MDMA before without any ill effects besides an understandable "comedown". None of this is condoning use, especially considering this scared me into complete abstinence from both alcohol and MDMA.
Now, at this festival I drank quite a bit every day. I did use MDMA on the second night, however I took one "point" (unsure as to what this measures out to), which I've done much more before and came out just fine. Everyone in my group took at least two points that same night of the exact same stuff, and had no side effects lasting longer than the "morning after". I had zero ill effects the morning after using and was actually surprised at how great I felt considering that I used MDMA. And no, I was not intoxicated the morning after, I would have felt this headache if it was present. I say this all in an effort to provide proper background, but also to try to prove that MDMA is either a non factor in this situation or played a minimal role. Because....

The problem seems to stem from my last night at the festival (to clarify, the MDMA use was on Saturday night of the festival, the last night was Sunday night)....
The last night (again, two Sundays ago), I drank tequila on an empty stomach and ended up blacking out at ~530pm that day. I apparently was unconscious drunk at about 8pm still, but conscious enough to walk into my tent and go to bed. I would venture to guess my BAC was somewhere between .3-4. For any of you familiar with this stuff, the unconscious phase was technically "stupor", but I did not puke anything up. This is either a good sign considering I wasn't that drunk or a bad sign considering my gag reflex was just also shut down.

I woke up at around 4am Monday morning (went to bed Sunday night at 8pm, woke up 4am Sunday morning) still drunk and relatively happy. Hangover started to kick in, and that's when the headache seemed to start. I've had really really bad hangovers before. Those went away within 24 hrs with adequate rest/exercise/diet.

My problem is this: it's now Thursday a week and a half later and I still have a mild, persistent headache in the center of my brain (pretty much right where my neck muscles meet my skull and forward). I've not only felt my head for any contusions but have confirmed with two people that I did not hit my head during this time. If I were concussed, I know damn well I would have had symptoms that morning.

The only conclusions that seem to fit the puzzle are that either I was so intoxicated that my breathing slowed to a point that caused brain damage (while sleeping), that I had a mild/severe case of dehydration and heatstroke while sleeping, or that I was so limp that while sleeping I strained some neck muscles. All of which seem unlikely, but I'm to the point where I'm kind of freaked out. Seeing a doctor won't seem to do much as treating this thing is just time and drugs. Thanks very much for any and all help!

First of all, you said you have no signs of concussion so why would you think that you have a TBI? You are probably just experiencing the after-effects of MDMA, which often do not start for a day or 2, hence the term "suicide tuesday". Drinking the night after may have amplified the MDMA hangover. If you were dehydrated or went hypoxic that night, that would probably make the hangover much worse. I expect that you may have some neuroinflammation, the best nootropic I could suggest would be curcumin+piperine. Also take a NSAID if you are not already. If the headache does not go away then see a doctor.

Thank you very much for your reply Fenix.

I must be confusing the definition of TBI, my understanding was that TBI can range from concussion to poisoning, just means an alteration of the tissue (I'm unsure as to whether damage from heatstroke/alcohol/drug abuse fits that). If this doesn't fall under that definition then my bad.

I'm going to google plenty but researching this stuff has been a little "tough" given the current situation. If you wouldn't mind, do you know how curcumin+piperine would help with such a thing?
