Hey,

Okay, so I suffer from anxiety and depression along with some phobias. E.g. Social phobia, agoraphobia. On the 15th of August I went to my mates birthday party and drunk some alcohol. I had a mixture of vodka, (which seems to cause it), along with lots of other alcohol.

Now, I still feel really zoned out and lack focus, concentration and awareness / alertness. My energy levels feel fine but I don't feel very clear minded and this had happened before and only seems to happen when I drink high-proof spirit drinks. Not to mention, I didn't really eat anything that day apart from a sandwich a few hours before. I'd also taken some Phenibut. (500MG)

This has happened three times before, and has happened recently before as well. I'm not sure what could be causing it though. I do in general have brain fog which is chronic, it's just drinking those spirits on the 15th has done something and has made it worse. I'm not sure if it's toxin related, gut related or anxiety related - maybe depersonalization / derealization or liver related maybe? Any thoughts or considerations are appreciated, thanks. :-)

Mixing phenibut and strong spirit drink is not smart at all. You're risking siezure, amnesia, blackouts..

Alcohol can cause depletion of some neurotransmitters (GABA and/or dopamine) and impair NMDA activity.

I have bad reactions to alcohol, it takes few days for me to recover from couple of strong alcoholic drinks.

My advice is to eat lots of protein and rest, take some time to recover you'll be fine.

This happens to me too....
I attribute it to my brain allergies....
I used to get " tipsy" from alcohol...now I get brain dead...
