Contains synergies of many different vitamins/minerals and a few other nutrients.
Not listed is one of my favorite synergies between IP6 (inositol hexaphosphate) and antioxidants. IP6, by chelating free/reactive iron has a "sparing" effect on many antioxidants, particularly Vitamin-E, which is one of the most common vitamin deficiencies.
Free iron acts as a catalyst for lipid oxidation which burns through Vitamin-E (the bodies primary lipid antioxidant), increasing demand for this commonly deficient vitamin. Control free iron and you spare this precious vitamin, reducing the need for aggressive supplementation.
We live in a world of iron fortified foods and excess consumption of red meats. Good for menstruating females and growing children, but not so much for males and post menopausal females. Iron is the malignant spirit of successful aging!
