Hi I have been taking lamotrigine and getting good help with depression. When I first started I was prescribed 50mg twice a day. It sedated me a bit and settled on 12.5mg three times per day. I was getting the benefits without the sedation. Lately I have been getting the sedation again so have further dropped to 6.25 three times daily and today only twice, to further avoid the sedation. It is working and I still seem to be getting the benefits. Can anyone help explain how this would be working. Is it possible that whatever was wring/damaged in my head has healed or glutamate or other kevels have been corrected? Or is it possible that the lamotrigine levels are still building up in my body? I've been on it about eight months. Thanks for any suggestions
