I assume that most of my issues are related to ADHD (no hyperactivity but severe problems with motivation, concentration, and procrastination). AMP and MPH are the only medications that have proven beneficial. I've tried so many nootropics/supplements, and they have been largely ineffective. I'm at the point in my life where I can't take it anymore. I'm tired of struggling, and I want to live like a normal person. My dream is to be self-employed, but I feel like I have no ambition. I sit and stare at my computer screen for hours. I have difficulty organizing thoughts, and anything that requires mental effort is overwhelming. This behavior has caused a lot of difficulty in other areas of my life (relationships, money, etc). The only time that I am reasonably successful is when I have rigid structure. I would do better working for a company, but I hate being confined to a corporate job. I want to support myself, but without being medicated, that's never going to happen. I dislike the idea of taking stimulants long-term, but maybe the cost/benefit is worth it (at least for now). I'm hoping that I can develop positive habits and possibly get my life in order. I'd like to be able to stop taking them once I have established some normalcy in my life. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any advice or experiences?

Exactly the same, currently trialing modafinil for exactly that.
