As BDNF release is correlated with heart rate and exercise duration, would using stimulants (nicotine, caffeine and pseudoephedrine, for example) during cardio to boost HR to around 170 - 180 heart beats / minute be a feasible solution? It seems that the more one is well trained, the less heart needs to work to push the same movement. When I began an exercise schedule my HR was up to 200, but now, better trained, i go around 150 and feel really uneasy / tired when I go beyond 60 - 70% max HR.
