It looks like light-activated fullerenes are harmful.
So what about taking them in dim light just before going to sleep (in the dark) and even wear dark, full-body clothing (long sleeves, pants/trousers, sunglasses, even gloves the next day? Not a big deal for those living in cold weather areas.

The Baati study says C60 was stirred in olive oil in the dark.
Any mention of avoiding light exposure for C60oo or the rats?

They didn't mention it, but rats do have fur coats. I believe it wise to avoid sun exposure when applying C60 to the skin, but as for avoiding exposure when taking it orally, very few here do that. At least one person has reported a bad reaction to even a small amount of sun exposure after taking C60 orally, but this person had taken fluoroquinolones almost a year previously and believed this was the problem. See this post.

It's a good idea to use a broad spectrum sunscreen and generally avoid excessive sun exposure whether you take c60 or not.  We've had more than one report here from people who say that they are more resistant to sunburn when using c60.  If there were a lot of photoactivation of fullerene occurring from oral use, I'd expect to see more sunburn rather than less, although it's possible that it doesn't work that way.   It would certainly be overkill to cover yourself up while indoors.

Turnbuckle made a great point about rats having fur coats.
Besides, rats were likely kept only indoors during the Baati study.
So their skin received little light and almost no UV rays.

So, to mimic the Baati study, humans should avoid light while on C60?

Not to mention living in a cage, sleeping on wood shavings and doing it like they do on the discovery channel :-)

ceridwen do you think C60 made you more or less sensitive to sunburn?
From your post it looks like you became more sensitive yet healing faster?

C60 is cleared from blood in ~97 hours.. Do you plan on staying in the dark for 4 days after every dose.

I spent hours in the sun when I should have been building up slowly. I think it made me less sensitive but I was only taking 2teaspoons a day at that time. I did heal much faster than I expected

It makes sense to avoid sunlight if possible, wear full body clothing (dark color suits look sharp too), hat and sunscreen for at least 4 days after drinking C60oo.
These are healthy habits even if no C60 were used.

So for weekly dosing, Is it better to take C60oo on Sunday or Monday nights and leave tanning and outdoor activities for weekends?
