Hello everyone, wondering what you feel is currently the best collagen supplement around on the market at the moment? Any thoughts? i.e. Collagen Gold, etc. Thanks!

At less than 10Euro/kg is really hard to beat.

Quality at its best.

Thanks for the response - worried if this collagen is derived from cows which have BSE? Which could be bad.

What does collagen do actually?  Doe it stimulate new production or just exogenous?

Never a single case has been reported, bovine collagen is made from cow hide which doesn't get BSE contamination, plus the process of gelatination and the following hydrolysis would likely destroy any possible contamination.

If that is not enough to reassure you Peptan is made in Brazil where according to the World Organization for Animal Health risk status for BSE is insignificant (all animals raised on grass pasture only).

Peptan comes from marine source (M) and porcine (P) too but you have to find a retailer whom carries those, aim always for the 2000 because it is the best molecular weight.

Exogenous mainly but it spares autologous therefore in practice it likely provides both effects (you get exogenous and more autologous available).

Did you try to ask the seller if an international shipping is available?

Often sellers don't show that option but if you ask they actually do ship to your country.

The seller has a site too: http://www.1000liter...sat-pulver.html

Peptan has a site too: https://www.peptan.com/

I don't think they are selling to privates but you may ask them for a seller in your area, unfortunately I am not aware of UK sellers carrying Peptan.

Recommended collagen dosage is 5g twice a day in half glass of water on an empty stomach 1 hour before meal or 3 hours after a meal.

Due to its low molecular weight Peptan 2000 dissolves immediately in water and has no taste at all.

I only have experience with NeoCell and Great Lakes Gelatin.

Between these two, I prefer GLG because it dissolves readily in cold water (or your mouth).

Molecular weight is the main factor in hydrolyzed collagen, when it is too high it dissolves poorly tending to form clumps and taste is kind of well detectable, in the other hand when the molecular weight is low enough it ready dissolves in water and there is virtually no taste.

When the latter is experienced you know the product is good at least.

Do you mean Collagen or Collagen producing supplements? As far as I know the only one with actual science promoting positive effects is orthosilicic acid.

Other things would be topical niacinamide and AHA.
