Hi All,

I have alopecia universalis and have been taking Berberine as a JAK3 inhibitor to try and treat this condition. I have read that Berberine has a poor intestinal uptake rate and that P-glycoprotein (P-Gp) inhibitors can increase Berberine absorption. I've also read a science paper on bitter melon inhibiting P-Gp activity in Caco2 cells. I was wondering if anyone could comment on the safety of combining the two supplements and if taking them together would increase berberine absorption.

I know both supplements also interact one way or another with glucose levels.

Has anyone else tried them in combination.

Thanks
