Hi everyone,

I'm looking for something to help me with maths, I don't need anything for memory by itself as I'm good at it, but I need to improve my focus/motivation and a little boost in logic would be also great.

I would like not to use racetams of noopept, so I have oubst between those things:

Caffeine+teanine+taurine (I already use this). This only makes me feel awake.

Then I have thought to add:

- Rhodiola

- Ginkgo

- DMAE (I have used a product that contains it, it has helped me to feel awake (with a hint of nervousness)  and has improved memory while taking it, but sometimes I feel like if I have brain fog. Maybe I'll have to reduce the dose a bit.

- ALCAR/CDP Choline/Alpha GPC

There's anything else that would help? I have read that rhodiola needs to be cycled.

The Racetams seem to have the desired effect of improving cognition (in regards to mathematics), motivation and focus more than any other Nootropics I'm aware of.

Probably the second best category of focus drugs is Modafinil

Caffeine is a good idea for motivation.

Brain training and meditation is also a good idea.

Thanks. Caffeine works fine for me, but only make me feel 'awake' and with energy, but not with focus. I have tried piracetam and didn't work for me, even at >7gr dosis. But I would like to stay away from racetams and noopept. Modafinil it's illegal in Spain unless you have a doctor prescription. I also used sulbutiamine without any effect.

I already take vitB complex, omega3, vitd+k, 1gr of taurine a day and vitaminC, selenium, etc.

No, I haven't tried it, but I've read about it and I'll do it.

ModaPharma may some spots left in its free Modafinil giveaway.
Someone just posted that it helped them with the things you mention.

But modafinil creates dependency for I have read, and I won't like it. I have some friends that take it and they have some side effects that I also don't like.

I tried a few of the racetams and didn't like them. (Felt minimal if any change). But other people on here will swear by them. Modafinil works but it can't be taken every day (in my experience). You do start to build up a tolerance. While I can sort of see it as addictive, I never felt like I needed to take it and have only used it sparingly. It isn't 100% on the focus part. Gives more energy and the ability to concentrate but if you are generally lacking in focus it might not be what you are hoping for. Sort of like your statement about caffeine, only I would say moda helps more with concentration than coffee. One thing I will say is that aldrafinil upset my stomach and gave a slight headache compared to modafinil. Other people have mentioned the same thing. So I would skip aldraf... The other thing to consider is that many people react differently to different substances. Don't take one persons log of experience as general accepted truth.

How long did you use racetams? When I started piracetam all I was feeling was extreme tiredness and sleepiness. I could drop dead in the middle of the day to sleep 1-2 hours. After 2-3 weeks my brain adapted to the new regimen and I started to feel real awesome effects.

Tried for a few weeks each time. Tried 3 or 4 different ones. Most seemed to give me a headache rather than any improvement on focus/concentration.

Modafinil made me a zombie. I just zoned out for hours which seemed to me like minutes. Really not for me.

Save your $$ and forget about the tyrosine. It only works for some and even then the tolerance builds up very quickly and it becomes worthless, counterproductive. For others like myself, it makes you anxious, sweaty and dumber. If you are schizophrenic, it's downright dangerous.

The racetams and choline are your best bets but they are not consistant.

I already buy it so I'll try it. I plan to use it on punctual days before exams.

I haven't had good results with racetams, and I have also tried with alcar and CDP choline without an results (and also sulbutiamine).
