Hi,

If taking honey before bed increases Glycogen in the liver, then the brain takes it from the liver and uses it for the brain during the night time...

does this have to do with mTOR?

because sleep is the ultimate drug you nuts. also, take gamers for example, some of them in china undformacty died after playing world of warcraft for two days straight.

anyway,

Liver must convert fructose into triglycerides and cholesterol. Also fructose elevates insulin level and increase fat storage and decrease fat use. Fructose is the worst sugar of all.

Fruit is healthy. It offers a wide variety of vitamins, minerals, fibre, clean water, and phytonutrients, all for very few calories.

Fructose from fruits and pure fructose are the same. There aren't differences between them.

Yes, fructose and fruit are very different things. The fructose is the same, but fructose by itself isn't the same as water plus fructose plus polysaccharides plus polyphenols plus carotenoids plus flavonoids plus ... well, whiIe I wouldn't gorge on nothing but fruit, I wouldn't exclude it just because it has some fructose in it.

fruit juice is definitely not good. high processed sugared drinks. im not really a fan of fruit in general (sugar, water and little bit of vitamin c) but i must say anything negative from fruit consumption is very much concentrated in the processed fruit drinks that are sold out there.

Many phytonutrients modulate the insulin response, some to a degree which MORE than offsets the accompanying glycemic load. Often they have cumulative benefits which persist for weeks after discontinuation.

Yet what is to be said of a ketogenic diet if sugar is closely related to glycogen and mTOR, as suggested by the OP?

I'm a big fan of fruit (organic where possible, especially for high risk fruit eg blueberries or apples) and use it as a temporary hunger satiator before my next meal.

Blueberries, mangos, papayas, apples, oranges, pineapples are my current favourites.

I'll reintroduce them. I used to be allergic to them (I used to have hayfever too, until I rebalanced my immune response re th1,th2 etc) as well as raw apples.

I do like kiwis...

actually its fruit minus fiber, and many nutrients are not water-soluable. so you could be throwing away a lot of unextracted goodies with the pulp.
