I like this preferably to caffeine or coffee.  I combine it with taurine to take the shakiness off.

Is it ok to use regularly?

I have been usuing chocamine regularly for more than 5 years without any side effects. Quite the opposite, I felt very good while supplementing it. No downsides noticed after discontinuation either.

Huch, I'm doomed.

Presently, genuine research data on this subject is lacking, but there is at least one epidemiologic study that demonstrates an association between Parkinson's and frequency of chocolate consumption.

You can also take a look at these extracts:

In vitro pharmacological activity of the tetrahydroisoquinoline salsolinol present in products from Theobroma cacao L. like cocoa and chocolate.

Melzig MF, Putscher I, Henklein P, Haber H.

J Ethnopharmacol. 2000 Nov;73(1-2):153-9.

Cocoa and chocolate contain the tetrahydroisoquinoline alkaloid salsolinol up to a concentration of 25 microg/g. Salsolinol is a dopaminergic active compound which binds to the D(2) receptor family, especially to the D(3) receptor with a K(i) of 0.48+/-0.021 micromol/l. It inhibits the formation of cyclic AMP and the release of beta-endorphin and ACTH in a pituitary cell system. Taking the detected concentration and the pharmacological properties into account, salsolinol seems to be one of the main psychoactive compounds present in cocoa and chocolate and might be included in chocolate addiction.

.. up to a concentration of 25 mcg/g Salsolinol. So with my cocoa addiction I'm ending up with a good gram of Salsolinol each day!

On the other hand, with a few hundred milligrams of cocamine I wouldn't be concerned.
