I suffer from CNS Lyme and all of its terrible neurological symptoms, I've tried many different herbs and supplements to ease my anxiety, however nothing has worked except Nutmeg and persistent antibiotic usage.

When I do take whole shredded nutmeg, I put between 1/8 to 1/4tsp in a drink. I'm not sure about its mechanisms of actions or why it works so well in low dosages because high dosages are known to induce panic attacks and paranoia.

It feels like I'm more witty and can speak fluently without having to pause and struggle for words. The mental problems are no doubt a manifestation of CNS Lyme but still the nutmeg has helped substantially where nothing else has. Why is this? And what are it's mechanism of actions that would cause this? Does it increase dopamine?

Google the constituents, especially in the volatile oils.

Maybe another one or two of them is psychoactive possible with the dose you describe.

Seems Sabinene may be quite antibacterial... Monoterpine and all.

Also you may find it interesting that it kills Japanese termites and one of the compounds is an AChE inhibitor.

In fact, 20% of the nutmeg essential oil is alpha-pinene (or d-pinene) which is commonly found in Rosemary oil. It is also an antibiotic, bronchodilator, highly absorbable, and highly anti-inflammatory.

Find anything else on the other compounds of interest?

Ecstasy is made form the oil of Nutmeg. Like most good street drugs they are close to natural compounds our bodies can use without causing too much deficiencies. This also makes them tolerable and thus quite addictive for some. All herbs and spices are exellent in what they do, moderation and positive thinking are key.
Teatree oil used topically twice a day should hold the parrasites back until an adequate diet rebuilds you. Having a healthy balance of oils is essential. Nutmeg along with Cinnamon are some of the super spices that extend life expectancy!

4-terpineol is GABAergic, other nutmeg compounds boost global serotonin (like an SSRI), it also contains an agonist at D2 and one at α1.

but trimyristin appears actually anxiogenic
