I just received powdered supplements from a well-known vendor and found to my chagrin that the powders were not pure. The Astaxanthin contained sugar, ascorbate palmitate, calcium stearate and silicon dioxide. I purchase powders to avoid contamination of other ingredients. Easier to just purchase premixed capsules. I will be returning the product unopened. Meanwhile, I found another vendor at www.bionootropics.com. This vendor appears to carry pure powdered products, and the prices are very competitive. The photos, however, have a surreal "feel" about them. My inquiry is whether anyone has used their products and can attest to their quality and/or "purity". Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for taking the time to read and respond.

Hi Memma, I just ran across their website tonight, as I was shopping for some powdered supplements. I am wary of them for several reasons:

1)  I could not find their address or the names of their officers or scientific advisors on their website.

2)  Their Certificates of Analysis are not signed by an independent lab.  They might have just typed them up on their computer.

3)  At the bottom of every product page is the statement, "FDA regulations require that these products are not sold for consumption. End use is limited to non-clinical scientific research." If not for (1) and (2), I might think that this is just a CYA statement. But taken together, these three factors make me very wary.

4)  Finally, it looks like nobody as responded positivly to your question during the past 11 months.

So, did you ever buy anything from BioNootropics? If so, what is your opinion of them now?
