I can't see your papers without a log in but I was reading this the other day, a study from NZ linking apoe4 to health outcomes in a population having amalgam fillings

Pinch of salt might be required, not sure

I'm also 3/4 and this provides a nice summary.

TUDCA and ApoE4   The Unexpected Uses of Urso- and Tauroursodeoxycholic Acid in the Treatment of Non-liver Diseases TUDCA improves apolipoprotein E4 (APOE4) macrophage survival and function.  Increased cell death was observed in APOE4 macrophages when stimulated with LPS or oxidized LDL and was due mainly to potentiation of ER stress signaling and JNK phosphorylation. TUDCA attenuated LPS- and oxLDL-induced apoptosis of APOE4 macrophages to levels observed in APOE3 macrophages.
