Hey guys, I need some help and direction with rebalancing myself and supplementation.

A little background on myself.

-I'm 27

-Very physically fit (have competed in bodybuilding and powerlifting at a fairly high level) currently doing a strucural balance program for old injuries

-Currently not taking any PED's, and took proper recovery protocols when stopping (have taken blood tests a few months ago all levels were fine, will be taking another in a couple weeks)

-Have a relatively active lifestyle, I'm a personal trainer

-My diet is very good, and my metabolism is high - currently averaging between 3500-4000 calories a day

Now to my problem

-I've been doing NoFap for a couple months now after being addicted to watching porn.
-I've also completed NoFap around 3 years ago and when completed never felt better.
-Due to a bad relationship I fell into bad habits, the relationship has finished and now I have been trying to do NoFap again.
-So far I have seen improvements but my libido and drive still feels suppressed.

To help with rebalancing (as far as my knowledge goes) I am currently supplementing with;
-Uridine

-Fish oil

-Alpha GPC

-Mucuna puriens

-NALT (could this be a problem?)

-DPLA

-Ashwagandha

-R-ala

-NAC

-5-HTP

Also taking multivitamins, magnesium, zinc, green tea etc

I know that my dopamine receptors will likely still be downregulated due to my addiciton, but I just wanted some advice on if I'm heading in the right direction, are my supplements on track, and if there's anything else I should be doing?

Thanks in advance for any advice

I would drop most of that stuff... the uridine, gpc, nalt, ala, 5-htp, and multivitamin.  Limit your copper intake, add ginseng, ginkgo, ginger, tumeric, and bacopa.  Marijuana is an aphrodisiac (when used chronically) mostly due to 5-ht2a upregulation.  Find a girlfriend and do this thing where you don't go all the way.  You stop short, and just go back to work, get on with your day like nothing happened.  At the climax, dopamine and oxytocin drop while prolactin rises... precisely what you want to avoid (at least avoid doing it every day)  I have noticed interesting pro-motivational, pro-attentional effects from this.

Will it help him with libido and drive though, which is where he's suffering right now

I think so, besides causing a bit of frustration and annoyance, it may neither help nor harm?  It may even help, as compared with doing nothing or going all the way.  And what will most likely be at least marginally helpful?  The ginger, turmeric, ginseng, ginkgo, marijuana, exercise, and appropriate diet.

Just curious whats the reasoning to drop all the stuff? Isn't uridine supposed to help upregulate dopamine receptors?

Keyword: supposed.  Without raising dopamine levels, it increases activity.  Eventually this leads to tolerance (which is precisely a condition of downregulated receptors).  Besides, there are more favorable ways of promoting dopamine activity.  Such as ginkgo.

GPC is just too potent, like whats wrong with eggs.  Or if you like uridine, just CDP??  Nalt and 5-htp are discouraged for the same reason of tolerance.  Ala is more for elderly dementia or cancer patients than a healthy adult... too much of it can seriously upset cell redox and basic function, and you get a little from your diet anyways.  The multivitamin, I believe, just encourages poor diet.  It lulls the individual into a false sense of security and discourages nutrient and calorie tracking.

But, these're just my beliefs.  Sir, I tell you, do whatever you feel's best.

People on Reddit talk about how they "ate a woman out" or had sex while doing "nofap". I don't think they realize how pointless it is what they are doing (and enjoy your std ). They are literally gaining nothing from it. You're supposed to completely abstain from any forms of sex.

Yes, sex and masturbation are not the same thing and they have opposite effects often.

NoFap isn't abstinence. I used to think they were the same, but that was while I was still a virgin. The oxytocin release is much more profound and less demotivating (more afterglowy), as is the whole experience. But fuck eating girls out, ain't nobody got tiam fo dat.

Thanks mate, I've been trying to search but can't find much on the supplements you mentioned, do you have any links for more information by any chance?
