After seeing this video and reading the Wikipedia article I think that it would be worth for anyone who has an incurable cancer to try this therapy.

I'm trying to understand the of $20K per month price tag, I don't know what I'm missing but it looks like putting together a home-made system like this is a about a weeks work.

Can anyone comment on a reasonable upper bound theoretical distance that such a therapy would be effective? For example, could a home made system like this make sense for colorectal cancers potentially or is there anything that sticks out as a roadblock?

From what I have read about the use of electrical fields in general, it seems like there is a real possibility that they could be highly beneficial, but the frequency and intensity required could vary for every individual patient. For example the resonant frequency is dependent upon on the size of the individual cells. If you hit the right frequency, there can be a profound effect, but if you don't then there could be no effect whatsoever. Unfortunately cell size varies depending on the type of cancer, from patient to patient, and presumably there are cancer cells with different sizes and different characteristics even within one patient.
