There are a lot of reports of hawthorn leaf extract helps the heart, and how hawthorn berry extract helps with blood lipids. But is it safe to assume leaf extracts also control blood lipids, while berry extracts also helps with heart functions? Both German leaf extracts and Chinese berry extracts standardize on the flavonoids, but they standard on different flavonoids--Chinese standard on vitexin and Chinese standardize o quercetin.
