This place is just brimming with unfriendly nasty people.  Maybe it's from all the stimulant abuse going on?

lol i never tried stimulants, unless caffeine counts.  i was born eating a bowl of nails, picking fights with strangers.  and the irony of your perspective is that Medieval abused countless stims but is one of the mellowest and even-tempered posters here

next point... you say this

I never poured cold water on dopamine, serotonin etc and just merely offered what I knew on the subject

and then two seconds later you say this

you should.. promote grapefruits.. for depression

Too bad they don't cure the asshole out of you.  It's not about grapefruit outright curing depression for anyone but the various anti-fungal, anti-microbial properties and a combination of other factors

where's the consistency m8.  and who said i want to cure you of your assholery, maybe i like you just the way you are?

furthermore, i dont give a crap if it cures depression only by addressing fungi.  that's still addressing someone's depression, perhaps your friend's mom with the weak immune system.  and you have yet to suggest a more effective alternative

ok, the main post initiator was right! grapefruit does cure depression and many other diseases as stated through the forum. i checked and verified all of the claims and it came true! BUT, a big obstacle finding enough of the potent material in just one or two grapefruits BUT fear not! i can sell you pills now, triple the strength! who is interested?? i have finally come in contact with reliable lab to isolate all the actives in grapefruit and release it to the nation and make YOU all better, longer living human beings!!! lets do this, and invest in me<- msg me for details on how to get your first few bottles 50% off!!!!!

now on sale!!

3 fruits a day would produce about 500mL or 2 cups, yielding anywhere from 50 to 300 mg of pure naringin.  even 50mg is more than enough to address moderate depression (probably even two fruits will see you thru most days).  and unlike SSRIs you're not gonna kill yourself  by taking 6 or 9 instead.  now please, stop playing on people's lack of knowledge, this "reliable lab" business reeks of an exit scam.  i can also tell you if everyone started eating 3 grapefruits a day the world would soon experience a terrible shortage, so what a blessing it is that no one's taking our advice

Wkipedia > "Grapefruit is a hybrid originating in Barbados as an accidental cross between two introduced species, sweet orange(C. sinensis) and pomelo or shaddock (C. maxima), both of which were introduced from Asia in the seventeenth century.[1] "

...oh...perhaps you meant some recent varieties of red GF developed in TX of all places? That's quite a different story....

"The “Star Ruby” and the “Rio Red” were introduced in 1971 and 1985 respectively, and these two mutant varieties now make up 75% of Texas’s grapefruit crop."

However, out of the worldwide grapefruit production of  ~5.9 million metric tons, the US produces only about .6 million, with TX production some subset of that. So let us say the huge majority of production of grapefruit is hardly a "mutant fruit created by man through radiation". BTW, the 'radiation' used is termed "thermal neutrons" or free neutrons with a (kenetic energy) temperature of ~62 degrees F.

from what you posted, you just said its a cross and hybrid, introduced by man. it never occurred naturally. i got confused with the ruby red yes, i read it was made by radiation but its the most popular grapefruit i now of. in either case, its made by man so i dont see the argument here
