"I had considered exercising finesse with my introduction to this review, but it seems apropos to be direct; Dihexa is theoretically one of the most powerful nootropics on the planet, capable of encouraging synaptic growth by many magnitudes of order above natural BDNF in vitro. I decided to give it a shot in vivo--one hell of a vivo, I must say--and see what results and conclusions I arrive at after a week.

My sample was ordered off of Ebay from Nyles7. it was a very professional interaction and the sample was promptly delivered to me in an envelope concerningly heated by the Texas Summer sun. Fortunately, in my experience and according to the Internet, Dihexa is a very stable molecule. Packaging could have been better (a flimsy plastic baggie stapled to a piece of paper) but it proved to be of little cost to the potency of the compound.

About a week later, I recieved the other important piece of my Dihexa puzzle; quality DMSO. The glass packaging and realistic pricing of this product drew me to it as a legitimate pharma grade commodity, and it has worked very well.

A note on DMSO: it is an extreme drug delivery solution! Lab anecdotes--my own included--have subjects actuallytasting the DMSO solution within minutes of spilling it on their hand, along with whatever drug was in the solution. My burps were tasting like DMSO. It was nuts. I think that was the symptom of the problem with body odor that MYASD cautioned of, but it didn’t seem very intense and only relegated to my breath and burps, passing with the night (this is one of the reasons I made a point of dosing at night). It should also be noted that there is a case study of DMSO exhibiting toxicity to astrocytes. It is, however, regarding IV administration of large volumes of the solvent to unhealthy subjects. I decided to be cautious and only administer once every other day, to be on the safe side, but as of now I haven't noticed any complications from its use.

For anyone looking to use DMSO as an ROA, it is essential to avoid letting the solute precipitate (form a solid) in the solution. Any addition of H2O to my DMSO/Dihexa solution resulted in rapid precipitation, which ended up being very bad! The DMSO can't carry anything if it isn't properly dissolved in the solution, and using my diluted, precipitated solution for my second dose was basically like skipping a dose altogether and was very disappointing.

500mg of Dihexa dissolves with relative ease into 30mL of DMSO, giving me a 16.667mg/mL solution; perfect, since the active dose regularly cited is around 15mg. Since I have a sensitivity to these things and dihexa is expensive, I decided to go with .5mL of solution, applied topically to my forearms, every other evening.

And if you are going to be using a calibrated dropper for your solution, be sure to only submerge it in the DMSO for the measurements; otherwise, keep it well away! My first morning after dosing, I swirled my solution and watched all of the number demarcations on my dropper swirl back at me--they had all been dissolved off of the glass! This was a dropper for ethanol-based tincture, and the result was a powerful emphasis of the strength inherent in DMSO as a solvent. Fortunately I had another calibrated dropper on hand, because DMSO wets glass (likes to cling to and flatten out on glass surfaces) terribly and trying to pour it was extremely messy and worth putting on two pairs of chem-resistant gloves to do.

Once the solution was made, application was simple: after washing my hands and forearms with a luffa and unscented, natural soap, I simply measured out 1mL of solution into a clean shot glass, which I then used to wet my fingers and apply to the forearms. Directly applying 99.95% DMSO solution to the skin is far from a comfortable experience, but it doesn’t really burn, either; if anything, it’s just very, very itchy, similar to the itch of strong opiates or high-dose beta alanine. I don’t particularly like it, but it’s worth it for the effects and my stomach liked it far more than oral administration. The itching comes to a climax about 15 minutes after applying. After I felt it had properly absorbed (around 30 minutes) I was pleased to discover that applying aloe vera gel (the one I used also had Vitamin A and E for treating sunburns) to affected areas significantly dissipates the irritation. I can’t say I would recommend anyone try applying more than 1mL of undiluted DMSO at a time: as I said, you can apply more if you dilute it, but it precipitates the drug out of solution, rendering the entire exercise useless. Speaking of exercise, some light weight-lifting sessions with my arms to promote peripheral circulation shortly after application seemed to improve delivery, on top of providing a distraction from the itchiness of the DMSO.

And now to the results that all of this fuss was about achieving. I’m afraid I was unable to go to baseline before trying Dihexa: probably the most influential thing I was mixing the drug with was URB-597, which I have found has great anxiolytic and stamina-boosting properties and proved an amazing adjunct for my Dihexa use.

With the URB-597 to keep my emotions well in hand, Dihexa was an incredible experience; like a time-release NSI-189 without any of the annoying contraindications and energy fluctuations. My articulative capacities were through the roof, with artful phrases and analogies flowing off of my tongue effortlessly. Deep insights surfaced with startling immediacy to enrich quotidian moments, and as with NSI my MO was far more philosophically inspired, with problem-solving founding itself more on basic principles than pre-acquired habit. The social sensitivity of NSI-189 was there, but of a strength to transcend mere intuitive functioning and allowing me direct control of deriving deep insight into the ethical and social dynamics of my situation. This added insight translated into a surge of social confidence: my boosted comprehension assured me I could handle just about any situation. Creativity was similarly boosted to almost euphoric heights.

And boy, the situations I got myself into! Getting my dihexa came at a rather festive season in my life, with some novel conventions and other social events to attend, some of which (sorry for all you purists!) involved profligate recreational drug use. Of course, I had a hefty helping of caution thrown into the mix because of my running Dihexa experiment, but I can safely say that marijuana is well-tolerated on Dihexa, which proved excellent for ameliorating the deleterious effects weed--and other such anxiolytics and recreational substances--has on one’s cognitive abilities. If anything, this made experiences with cannabis and other drugs far more enjoyable due to the great boost in confidence it gives. I had a wonderful experience at Quakecon with 2g of P. cubensis and cannabis during which I was very functional throughout the entire experience, although the 2g was divided into three doses throughout the night and the effects, when combined with cannabis, were definitely potentiated by the dihexa, with unusual effects manifesting themselves, such as glaring rainbow scintillations that appeared for several minutes at a bar. I don’t drink, so I couldn’t tell you what dihexa is like with alcohol, but I doubt it would be unpleasant and other GABAdics, like my sleep medication, were well-tolerated. I also noticed that, while it reduced the efficacy of sedatives, Dihexa did not interfere with my ability to sleep and I noticed the increase in dream vividness and intensity that has been anecdotally supported.

But, much like NSI-189, Dihexa isn’t without it’s share of side effects that I personally found omit it as a candidate for habitual use. The biggest problems was the mounting attention deficit, which mirrored the complications exhibited by extended NSI-189 supplementation. I couldn’t gauge whether this side effect aggregated distinctly faster with Dihexa than it does with NSI-189--which seemed to get to its worst at around 4 weeks of continuous use--but it seemed to be getting there when I decided to stop. Also, on the days I wasn’t dosing the URB-597, I consistently had difficulties with irritability and other forms of hyperemotionality; it’s funny to say, but both URB and cannabis seemed to drastically increase the benefits of this drug, due to the mood stabilization and creativity promotion of these drugs, respectively, and the combination of a cannabinergic with Dihexa was, to quote my earlier expression to a friend, “like Phenibut and NSI-189 had a precocious child”.

So, my current verdict on Dihexa is that it is definitely worth trying out and provides a tremendous boost to creativity, social acumen, and critical thinking. The focus sides seemed to preclude it as part of a daily regimen for me, and I will continue to report on the stability of the DMSO solution--my biggest apprehension is that the solution will precipitate with the addition of moisture in the air over time, as is apparently a problem with DMSO solutions. Still, this was my first experience with DMSO and, despite the discomfort of application, I was so impressed with the results that it was an entirely tolerable hassle. I look forward to experimenting with both DMSO and Dihexa for their own merits in the future."
