I was here for a long time (from 2007), but lost the site for the last 5-6 years...
I've totally changed my way of life/supplementation, and I'd like to jump on the NR/pterostilbene bandwagon (along with IF + paleo diet). Also interested with C60oo, but it seems we need some more time to be sure it's safe (risk of increase of tumor growth...). NR and C60oo seems to be not really compatible also (side effects reviews from a few users here).
From what I read, pterostilbene has a very low absorption rate if taken in a fasted state ( https://examine.com/...ene/#summary2-0 , study ref : https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19459636 )
I read also that NR is better absorbed first thing in the morning (didn't find any study for this, though).
I fast ed from 19:30 pm to 12:30, so about 17h.
So no breakfast (only dark coffee) to help pterostilbene absorption.
Should I take both supplements in the same time (would be after lunch) or can I take NR separately ?
NR would be 250mg at about 7:30 am, and pterostilbene 100mg at 01:00 pm.
I'm expecting great things from those 2 supps, so I really want to take them the best way (and NR is not cheap also, so don't want to loose most of it)
I take also 1g DHA + 12mg astaxhantin + liquid D/K2 on the morning, zinc chelate/mag/P5P + LDN at night, and also 10g glycine + 5g taurine ed. Short and very intense exercising 6d/w (4mn tabata or 10mn HIIT with weights). Very very nice results for 6 weeks only I do this (lost 6lbs, I think I'm again under 10%BF at 50 years old)
