Hello guys. It seems that the case may be that Resveratrol protects against UVA light. what do you guys think? ://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4394506/

For what it is worth, I cannot even find other data on substances that protect specifically agaonst UVA damage. All I can ever find is a substance or two (like lycopene or astaxanthin and even the infamous polypodium leucotomos), that only have supposed implications in protecting against UVB damage. Never any mention of UVA specifically, which would protect our elastin, collagen, and subcutaneous fat as well. Do you guys think resveratrol is of any help here at all? Also, do you all know of Any substances that protect specifically agaonst UVA? There has to be somethibg out there? And perhaps if we cannot find any substances that protect against UVA light, maybe we can use substances that actually just protect against the MMPs that are generated Due to UVA light.

There seems to be evidence re: S.O.D. and UV protection. Google shows many references are related to UV B, but this one refers to UV A.

Others re: S.O.D. and UV and other radiations:

I use a S.O.D./Gliadin Complex with GliSODin (Swanson) for whatever UV protection it provides (and other benefits), as I spend many hours outside most days at 5000ft where I live and so UV is approx 10% greater than at sea level. I didn't know about Resveratrol and UV, however, I use a Resveratrol supplement as well, so perhaps a good combo apparently against UV exposure.

Of course, there are numerous other purported S.O.D. benefits > http://www.lifeexten...ort_sod/page-01  esp. of the high bioavalable formulations.
