My 13-year-old aussie's energy output has collapsed severely during the last year. For months now the dog has been what I'd call tired and apathetic.
He still enjoys food, but walks have been getting shorter and shorter every month while the animal has also lost a good amount of weight.

The dog has been extremely healthy throughout his life in general, but he has been bitten twice in the same front leg years ago causing damage to the joint.
Now that his muscle mass, energy and coordination have been going down, the joint pain has started to cause him trouble. Dog is still happy and he can move and even sprint for very short distances so I haven't put him down yet.

I had read about C60 years ago already, but never tried it back then. As a last resort to attempt to make the dog's final days more enjoyable I ordered some C60oo from Vaughter Wellness and I have been giving the solution for the animal for two days now. I can't conclusively say that there has been any improvement caused by the C60, but the dog has been considerably more attentive and energized on walks for the last two days. Whereas usually the dog would start panting and coughing when going up a small hill and be left behind me on a leash walk. He is now pulling me again, which is really amazing. He seems to be more interested in all the surrounding smells also.

Small update on this. The thing is c60 is really helping the dog with cell respiration I think. He has so much more energy, but he has now been experiencing a new problem along with his leg pain.

I suspect he might have a problem with his prostate as he has been having trouble defecating properly and has been dropping urine inside on and off for the last month or so. Peeing inside seems to be less of an issue as long as I consistently give him his daily dose of C60, but this is very anecdotal.
No problems with itchy fur, a problem other users of this forum have noted with dogs when giving them C60.

Dog has been getting 1 teaspoon or little less of the product from Vaughter every day in the morning.

I don't see any moral issue with this. The dog is old and will be 14 years in the beginning of next year. I am just trying to make his last days as enjoyable as I can.
So far the results have been only positive.

He is getting 90 mg of carprofen ( https://en.wikipedia.../wiki/Carprofen ) daily. NAC could be something useful to give for him just to protect his liver a bit more, but I don't know if NAC will have that protective effect with carprofen as it has with acetaminofen.

Just updating for the last time.

I ended up euthanizing the animal after a rational thought process. The dog got a long lasting mild urinary infection somewhere in the beginning of December. Antibiotics didn't do it. No bladder cancer found in ultrasound examination. I could've opted for a second course of antibiotics, but I had a talk with the vet about the general health of the animal and everything I had been thinking for some time materialized right at that moment. The other front paw was seriously injured and the dog had been getting anti-inflammatories for the chronic pain for almost two years now.

There's no way to tell how bad the pain really was, but he was limping slightly all the time even with the medication. His rear legs muscles were also getting weak. At some point he would have finally collapsed and I didn't want the pain of rushing him to the vet when he can't stand on his feet anymore.

The thing that he would've perhaps needed were steroid injections back in the day, straight after the incidents when lose running dogs bit him and also in the beginning of his senior days when his muscle mass was starting to slowly decline. Growth or pro hormones in animal use are strictly regulated here so it wasn't an option.

My anecdotal user experience remains the same. I do honestly think that C60 had a wonderful effect on my friends physical and mental stamina and I would've continued the routine if he was still alive. The short term effects were short of amazing.
Dog was 13, he would've been 14 next month.

I'm sorry, I know it's so hard to lose a beloved dog. When I had to euthanize my 13-year old sheepdog, my silly best friend, well, it took me a year and more of grief to recover.

"Dogs only hurt us once," a friend said, "and that's when they die. People, meanwhile, they'll hurt you continuously."

So I adopted a stray cat off the streets -- she really appreciates a warm safe home.
