Hello to all,

My name is Brainacetam, 22, I'm diagnosed ADHD/innatentive since 1 year but still waiting a chemical aid, in my country they're not very open minded and it take a lot of time. I used a lot of cafeine and now I became very anxious a lot more than I already was. I tried Lexapro, Modafinil, Armodafinil, Meldonium, Encephabol, Effexor XR, stims, noopept and all of these did nothing, also stimulants made me very strange i can't concentrate and I feel too much adrenaline in my system.

But responded well 2 months to piracetam 10 gr/day after it stop working because I add choline, cafeine, so tried prednisone, cortineff, iode, iodine, kcl but nothing... now I'm on propranolol 40mg x2 + Meldonium, with daily iodide, shilajit, kcl, b complex, DXM 30 mg at night. I feel better because of propranolol but it's very different of my piracetam effects (multi tasking, focus, I looked and felt lot better)

Now I think to go on nsi189, I hope it will help me, it's my last year and I really don't want to fall again.. so if anyone can help me because that's feeling of depression/anxiety/crispation is really hard to bear.

Most people with ADD/ADHD get results with stimulants, but what you're describing are more likely low-motivation and weak-concentration due to depression and/or anxiety.

and what you've already tried help little with depression, even worsen anxiety.

you should take a combination of SSRI/SNRI + weak-benzodiazepine which both need specialist's consult and prescription.

Also, I suggest trying CBT for depression/anxiety along with medications which would does the best; ask your doctor for this or a referal to a Cognitive Behavior Therapist

Although he sounds depressed and anxious, there's still the problem that what he's describing isn't ADHD - it's SCT. As such, what you're suggesting won't actually help all that much - he will still fail his last year, because stimulants and conventional AD's are useless against SCT - you know this...

@BRAINACETAM:

Have you ever heard about a disorder called SCT - Sluggish Cognitive Tempo?

The fact that you are inattentive but stimulants doesn't work, and you have a lot of anxiety also fits the bill quite well.

Have a look at the disorder here and tell us what you think:

do you identify with the symptoms?

https://en.wikipedia...cognitive_tempo

If so, then the reason why stimulants doesn't work is because you have a DIFFERENT attention-disorder than ADHD - ADHD is a dopaminergic disorder caused by faulty circuitry in the Pre-Frontal Lobe and Striatum - a Fronto-Striatal disorder.

SCT however, is a NOREPINEPHRINERGIC disorder - caused by faulty neural circuitry primarily in the Superior Parietal Lobe - a section in the BACK of your head.

For the treatment of SCT, you need compounds which increase norepinephrinergic activity - the two main compounds to try are Atomoxetine (strattera) and REBOXETINE.

Reboxetine should be your preference, since it has a better side-effects-profile than Atomoxetine - it's also in use as an antidepressant, so it should be easier to get prescribed than ATX.

I recommend the following:

1. Start going off all of the other compounds you are using - they won't work.

2. Start a daily regimen of:

Reboxetine 4 mg

Tianeptine 37 mg

or:

Reboxetine 4 mg

Sertraline 50 mg

I think you'll start seeing some big improvements with this! = )

Thanks guys ! I also used a lot of caffeine before my workouts for 6 months in the past and a day I became crying when I took the pre workout then I never ever responded to caffeine. So after I tried a lot of stims which were useless too. I also took selegiline which no significant improvement but today i took it with my morning 80mg propranolol+ 500 mg mildronate and was a little better.

My roboxetine purchase will come in ~2 weeks I hope I will work.. but next week I have to see a psychiatrist for my problems but I don't know If i have to tell him all on what I lived and about my self prescriptions expérimentations with various meds because I think he will imagine I just want to be high or to get meds but I just want to be normal

Edit : last year I did an EEG and it was normal but don't know if it's really accurate for little impairments, maybe optimal concentration in neurotransmetters are different for each. I also want to ask an IRM test to the Dr
