General advice:
1. There is an immune therapy for dust allergies in parts of Europe. It's not for use in people whose allergies have advanced to autoimmune disorders. ALK makes it. Important to note is that it's from a single payer healthcare system, so age might not be so important to efficacy as the package insert and marketing materials might lead one to believe. You might have to check with a foreign doc or be a brave guinea pig. The prevalence of autoimmune disorders does increase with age, and not all are immediately obvious as beneficial genetics might mask the symptoms leaving you more prone to suffering adverse events the older you are.
2. Proteolytic enzymes. I've found that using these help. I don't ingest them, I make a topical preparation.
3. I cover my cup and my food (makes a big difference).
4. Merv 13 HVAC HEPA Filters. Individual units can't do nearly as much if they aren't part of your home's primary airflow
5. UVC sterilization in HVAC. Kills dust mites that make it through the system. Reduces dust mite populations in your home. Every little bit helps.
6. Tile and hardwood don't hold dust as carpet does and is easy to clean.
7. Natural leather furniture can be readily cleaned and won't hold dust.
