Since there seems to be a lot of risk taking and expense involved with drugs and supplements that upregulate Hippocampal SCs, I thought I'd get this thread started. There are actually lots of well described drugs available around the world which could potentially be used with other supplements to achieve this ends without being as much of a guinea pig.
Moclobemide and other anti-depressants:
Moclobemide up-regulates proliferation of hippocampal progenitor cells in chronically stressed mice.

Agmatine increases proliferation of cultured hippocampal progenitor cells and hippocampal neurogenesis in chronically stressed mice.

CTN-986, a compound extracted from cottonseeds, increases cell proliferation in hippocampus in vivo and in cultured neural progenitor cells in vitro.

Preclinical analyses of the therapeutic potential of allopregnanolone to promote neurogenesis in vitro and in vivo in transgenic mouse model of Alzheimer's disease.
