All I know about inflammation is "it's the thing that your immune system does which is necessary to ward off infection but is really bad for you and causes aging damage but you can suppress it with a few supplements."

I don't know enough about it.

Can someone direct me to a source that will teach me about it? Something not too advanced preferably.

It damages dna and cell structure but is necessary for proper destruction of cancer cells and infectious agents and potentially other things. That's what I know.

In an acute infection it's very appropriate and helpful. With chronic low-level activation it tears and is probably one cause of all aging diseases.

Inflammation is vital for immune response and sirvival. What matters is that it's kept under control.
